Shipping Containers

One Sunday when my girlfriend was away on a business trip and I had nothing to do, I took line 10 of the Shanghai Metro to the very northern tip of Pudong. The subway goes along the port of Shanghai, and I got very excited to see all the stacks of shipping containers on all sides. I frantically went back and forth between the two sides of the train car so I could a close look out the windows and fully appreciate the majesty of shipping container world. Colored blocks of course always make me think of Bomberman ’93, Chameleon Twist, and Super Mario Bros. 3D Land. It just seems like it’d be such a pleasure to live in a world of colored blocks.
When I got back to my girlfriend’s apartment the next day and was lying on her sofa, I realized that I already live in a world filled with stacks of blocks:
Unfortunately they’re not colored. Though maybe we can change that.
